What is the Star Sign of George Armstrong Custer?

George Armstrong Custer was born on December 5th, 1839 under the Sagittarius zodiac sign. Sagittarius is considered one of the most adventurous and enlightened zodiac signs. It is also seen as a sign of great mental clarity and an eternal optimist.

George Armstrong Custer was born in New Rumley, Ohio. His family came to the area as it was opening up for settlement during the 1790s. As he grew, he showed an intense interest in the military life, and his father made sure that he was at least somewhat educated about the subject. Custer was enrolled in nearby Greer Academy and began to read military books and take outdoor adventures with his brother. He became fascinated with the stories of warfare and began to focus all of his youthful energy towards becoming a military officer.

Custer graduated from West Point Military Academy in the summer of 1861 at the age of 21. Custer quickly rose through the military ranks, and his successes in the Civil War gained him notoriety, and by the end of the war he had been promoted to the rank of Brevet Major General.

Custer’s adventures in the West began in 1866, when he was sent to the Montana Territory to investigate the possibility of a gold strike in the region. Although Custer found no gold, his journey set the hook of destiny that would lead him eventually to battle a much larger Indian force in the battle of Little Bighorn. Though he was greatly outnumbered in the battle, Custer’s Sagittarian optimism was at its height, as his vision of a successful crusade against the Sioux Nation was his driving force. Although Custer and his men ultimately lost the battle, his legacy has become one of valor and courage in the face of overwhelming odds.

Custer’s enthusiasm and optimism, coupled with his Sagittarian traits, made him a great leader in the military and on the field. He was an adventurous spirit and was never afraid to take a risk, often putting himself in harm’s way in order to ensure the success of his mission. Though his military career was short-lived, his commitment to duty and perseverance made him an exemplary soldier and leader.
