Pablo Picasso was born on October 25th, 1881 and his star sign was Scorpio. Scorpios are independent, and often assertive, self-confident and determined. Other traits associated with the sign are assertiveness, passion, stubbornness, ambition and talent. Picasso certainly had plenty of these traits and they led to him becoming a world famous artist.

Picasso was born in Spain in a town called Malaga and his father was a painter and art teacher. Picasso was exposed to the world of art from a young age, with traditional art and the works of Spanish masters displayed in his home, which heavily influenced his artwork. Picasso was a naturally talented draftsmen and published his first writing at age 16 and painted his first masterpiece at 17.

Picasso moved to Paris at the age of 24 and it is here where he began to explore his creativity and expand on the artistic expressions he learned as a child. He eventually developed his own, revolutionary style of painting, known as cubism. He was also inspired by African artwork and his lifelong muses, Marie-Therese Walter and Dora Maar. Picasso was a prolific artist who was extremely innovative and many of his works are still praised by art critiques today. During his lifetime, Picasso produced thousands of paintings, drawings and sculptures, many of which occupy the most prestigious museums in the world. Picasso also famously had an incredibly interesting social life and left behind a rich legacy that continues to influence modern art today.
